Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 June 2026
GrantShip (“we”, “us”) provides a free AI grant review and grant coaching for deep-tech startups. We take your privacy seriously and process personal data in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
The data controller is GrantShip, an initiative of Dr. Klaus Fuchs and Cynthia Jurytko, Switzerland. For any privacy matter, contact Klaus@nclabs.ch.
What we collect
- Review data — your name, email, optional company name, and the proposal text or document you submit for review.
- Enquiry & coaching data — details you send when contacting us about a plan or applying to coach (name, email, LinkedIn, background).
- Newsletter — your email address, if you subscribe to grant alerts.
- Technical data — standard server and analytics logs (e.g. IP address, browser) created when you use the site.
How we use it
We use your proposal content solely to generate your review. We use your contact details to deliver the review, respond to enquiries, provide coaching you request, and — only if you opt in — send grant alerts. Our legal bases are the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps, your consent (newsletter), and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service.
Service providers we share data with
We use a small number of processors, only as needed to run the service:
- Anthropic and/or OpenAI — to run the AI review on the text you submit.
- Resend — to send transactional emails and manage newsletter subscriptions.
- Vercel — website hosting and infrastructure.
- Rockstar Feed (feed.rockstar.jobs) — supplies the public funding-events feed; no personal data of yours is sent to it.
Some providers may process data outside Switzerland/the EU; where they do, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses). We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep review and enquiry data only as long as needed to provide the service and for a reasonable follow-up period, then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe from the newsletter). To exercise any right, email Klaus@nclabs.ch. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local supervisory authority.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll revise the date above when we do.
This policy is provided in good faith as a clear summary of our practices. Please have it reviewed by qualified counsel before relying on it for compliance.
